If you are a woman you probably have it, and are trying to get rid of it. I am talking about that dreaded cellulite. You know how hard it can be to get rid of it, but the search for the cure maybe over.

One thing you should know is that cellulite has nothing to do with your weight or will power. Recently, three different approaches to getting rid of cellulite where tested to find out which one gets rid of cellulite forever. Two lotions and a medical procedure where used for this case study.

The two lotions were Nivea Goodbye Cellulite and Cellulean, both these claim to give you a beach ready body in 30 days. Both lotions where applied at the same time, one to each leg twice a day for a month. The medical treatment that was tested is called the Accent. It literally melts fat and tightens skin simultaneously. It feels a little like a hot rock massage and six treatments are required for best results.

The women who participated in this experiment liked the consistency of the Nivea cream over the other one which is sticky and does not dry quickly. Although both thighs looked smoother after the trial, it seems that the Nivea side looked a lot smoother in most of the women.

The biggest difference however came from the Accent Laser machine. Four treatments later, the results where clearly visible. As early as after the second use they could feel that it was working. Before the procedure, it was a whole map of lumps and bumps with huge dimple sections. After there was jus a little area where more work is needed.

Overall the Accent did give the best results at a value of three thousand dollars for six treatments. A bottle of Nivea Goodbye Cellulite costs about $12 and a bottle of Cellulean costs about $69.95.

Although the lotions did give the appearance of smoother skin, doctors have stated that they are not permanent solutions. They can be used with your therapy but should not be seen as permanent solutions.
