If you are a woman you probably have it, and are trying to get rid of it. I am talking about that dreaded cellulite. You know how hard it can be to get rid of it, but the search for the cure maybe over.
One thing you should know is that cellulite has nothing to do with your weight or will power. Recently, three different approaches to getting rid of cellulite where tested to find out which one gets rid of cellulite forever. Two lotions and a medical procedure where used for this case study.
The two lotions were Nivea Goodbye Cellulite and Cellulean, both these claim to give you a beach ready body in 30 days. Both lotions where applied at the same time, one to each leg twice a day for a month. The medical treatment that was tested is called the Accent. It literally melts fat and tightens skin simultaneously. It feels a little like a hot rock massage and six treatments are required for best results.
The women who participated in this experiment liked the consistency of the Nivea cream over the other one which is sticky and does not dry quickly. Although both thighs looked smoother after the trial, it seems that the Nivea side looked a lot smoother in most of the women.
The biggest difference however came from the Accent Laser machine. Four treatments later, the results where clearly visible. As early as after the second use they could feel that it was working. Before the procedure, it was a whole map of lumps and bumps with huge dimple sections. After there was jus a little area where more work is needed.

Accent Laser Treatment
Overall the Accent did give the best results at a value of three thousand dollars for six treatments. A bottle of Nivea Goodbye Cellulite costs about $12 and a bottle of Cellulean costs about $69.95.
Although the lotions did give the appearance of smoother skin, doctors have stated that they are not permanent solutions. They can be used with your therapy but should not be seen as permanent solutions.
Acoustic Wave Therapy For Cellulite

It happens more often than you think doctors discovered the best methods purely by accident. That’s the case for one of the newest and most effective treatments for cellulite, Acoustic Wave Therapy.
How does this cellulite treatment work? Well it uses a pressure wave that passes through the skin and fat. This wave impacts the collagen tissue that is pulling down the skin that causes the breakout. It also then thickens the collagen at the bottom of the skin to push the fat back down. So it is working on both the areas that cause the cellulite. The fat is still there, just not as close to the surface.

This was originally a pain treatment. It is very effective for pain as a matter of fact its one of the best treatments out there for heal pain. What happened in Switzerland where the device was designed, they where doing some work on injured hamstrings. The women started coming back for extra treatments because their legs looked better.
The first pilot study in the United States was on 5 patients. They where thrilled, one lady even lost a couple of pants sizes which was not expected. After this initial pilot study a full study was then carried out.
On a study of about a 150 patients the average patient lost about a half a centimeter in thigh diameter. This was all achieved with no weight loss and exercise, they just did the treatment.
How long does it take to see the results? The results take anywhere from 4 weeks to a month on the fast responders and about 3 to 4 months on most women. At 3 months 90% of people who try this treatment are seeing results.
Some women are genetically disposed to have thick legs. This treatment does not help you lose a lot of volume. If you want to lose a lot of volume they are other technologies like Smart Lipo and Vaser that can help pull out the volume.

This treatment is more for smoothing and it probably does the very best job of smoothing than any treatment out there. Anyone who has dimples is a good candidate for this treatment.
